The "Museum Johannes Reuchlin" was opened in 2008. With its modern and interactive exhibition, it is the perfect place to discover more about the life of the Pforzheim humanist who changed the face of Europe.

Johannes Reuchlin (1455-1522) called for Christians, Jews and Muslims to enter into dialogue with each other. He laid the foundations for the translation of the Bible into German and paved the way for the Enlightenment. Reuchlin's precious library used to be housed in the late Gothic annex of the Schlosskirche. The building was destroyed in February 1945 during the aerial bombing of Pforzheim and was only rebuilt between 2006 and 2008. Trace Reuchlin's influential life and "leaf through" his books and writings. The interactive exhibition stretches over four floors.
