In Pforzheim and the Enzkreis there is a secret, unknown parallel world with multis, tradis, mysteries, caches and travel bugs. You don't understand a thing? Then you are a muggle. A person who doesn't know or practice geocaching. In a nutshell: the aim of geocaching is to find a hiding place, the so-called "cache", in unknown terrain. Geocaching is therefore a modern type of treasure hunt, also known as a GPS scavenger hunt.
What is it about?
The containers, which can be of different sizes, contain a logbook in which you enter your name. You then mark the cache as found in the relevant app. If there is even a small item in the container, you can swap it. You take out one thing and put in a new one.

The most important requirement for the modern treasure hunt is a GPS-compatible mobile device. This can be a smartphone with a geocaching app or a GPS device. The device gives you the location as coordinates that relate to longitude and latitude. Each cache can be found at the coordinates assigned to it.
what kind of Caches are there?
Caches come in different types, sizes and levels of difficulty. Searchers can find out about the size, terrain and difficulty in advance.
For traditional caches, the "Traditionals", there are direct coordinates and therefore the search location. For "multis", the coordinates of the first station are visible. To find the other stations and the logbook at the end, you have to collect clues or answer questions. With a mystery cache, you have to solve a puzzle before you can find the actual cache, the "final".
